This page contains a number of short papers containing house rules I have found useful in my Harn campaign, spells I have developed, commentary on HMC rules with suggested additions, commentary on various aspects of Medieval life that might be of interest as background for campaigns set in Harn, and plots and plot lines set on Harn. The contents of each paper are outlined below under links.

Links

This link contains a proposed system of coinage in use in Melderyn. It should be noted that just as Medieval coinage systems tended to follow those of Rome and were thus very similar to each other in the value of actual coins in use, what ever they were called, coinage in Lythia and on Harn will tend to have coins of similar size, materiel, and weight even if the coins have different names.

The workings of the council of eleven influence events through out Harn.

This link contains notes on Apprenticeship and Nurture, the Medieval system of education for most children who received any "formal" education

This link is to a page containing a slightly edited version of Combat 24 and a paragraph from Combat 25 from Harnmaster, first edition Click here.

This link is to a page extending the size factor table from Combat 24 in Harnmaster the first edition Click here.

Visit this link for the Weaponcraft Table from Combat 21 of HM1 rules. Included is a table for improving WQ based on the SI of the weaponcrafter.

I have added certain spells to the list in HMM.

Some of the changes which I suggested to Columbia Games following the publication of HMC are assessable through this link.

A brief note on modifing abilities for player or non-player character children

I have added some comments on realism and getting your ass to Azadmere.
