Council of Eleven
Expulsion of Dyalne
Dulye:
In TR 703 she was expelled from the council and declared a Renegade. There were three reasons for her expulsion: 1) She advocated a direct roll for Melderyn in Harnic affaires, especially Melderyn intervention in favor of the Jarin during their revolt. Her expulsion came during the last days of the Jarin revolt. 2) Her research into the arts of the “Foulspawner.” 3) Her research into the reason some victims of the spell “Retardant Hand” become effectively immortal.
Her sister, Eilyn Dulye, believes she is still alive. It is possible that she may be may be somewhere in Orbaal. It is also possible she is on another world of the Kethiran family, possible even Terra. She is known to have formed a “friendship” with Daegmael. The White hand is unable to locate her.
Daegmael:
The Council would very much like to find one Daegmael who is known to travel widely between worlds and is mentioned in the records of the Chantry of Arcane Lore several times between TR 165 and TR 635 as having visited the Chantry. Aranath Halirien thinks that Daegmael is not human and may be either very long-lived or an immortal. Noron knows that Daegmael is not a Pradeyalkri although in his size he resembles one. Other then his odd looks the only thing known of him is that horses and other animals seem terrified of him.
The reason the council would like to talk to Daegmael is that he may know where Dyalne Dulye is and he might be able to help find out how certain children, enchanted with Retardant Hand, were brought to Harn.
Rethem:
In TR 705 Nyukkal of Claswith became the Chamberlain of the Earl of Tormau. The Earl seems to be considering revolting against Chafin III. (Possibly with subtle support from Melderyn. Confusion/collapse of current kingdom would short out an evil temple crusade to control Harn.)
Kanday:
Close relations. Subtle support vs: Rethem and Thardic Republic. (Collapse or weakening of Rethem would remove the evil temples there from any position of launching a war to control Harn. The Thardic Republic is seen by the council as unstable. A strong military dictator could cause a lot of problems elsewhere. Kanday is the best local stopper.)
Thardic Republic:
In addition to the perceived instability of the Thardic Republic there is the possibility of a God Stone at Shiran under the control of the Temple of Helea. In recent years several “children” enchanted with Retardant Hand and from Terra have been found on Harn. All seem to have arrived in Shiran from some other, as yet unknown, intermediate world.
Kaldor:
The Kaldoric session is of concern because Kaldor is seen as a check against both the Thardic Republic and Orbaal.
A strong Kaldor would be in a position to add Kanday against the Thardic Republic especially if the Republic and Rethem should both attack. The council is also concerned about the growing influence of the Navehans at Bejist.
After the session the council would like to see Kaldor take control of the Oselbridge area. Melderyn recognizes Kaldor’s claim as running to the north bank of the Shomos River. In the north, following the session, the council would like to see the Lady of Paladins seize Quimen Keep since this move would tend to pin down the Orbaalise and limit their ability to mount raids like those of TR 705 and 707.
Given the political situation in Kaldor the council favors Conwan Elendsa to succeed Miginath.
Orbaal:
The council is indirectly supporting the Aenghysa through the Iliviran sect of the Order of Chuchlaen Wheelwright.
